PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Jim has worked in residential real estate in Fauquier, Loudoun, Clarke and Rappahannock Counties for more than eight (8) years. In 2002, he joined Armfield, Miller & Ripley Real Estate which has recently merged with Washington Fine Properties.
While Jim specializes in marketing and representing buyers of middle to upper bracket price properties, he is equally committed to his vigorous marketing and buyer representation for properties in all price ranges. He was one of the listing agents for Fleetwood Farm (listed at $21,500,000 in late 2005), the biggest listing for any residential property in the history of Fauquier County Virginia.
Although Jim maintains numerous listings in the high end market, he also handles mid-range listings of $250,000+. Jim’s motto is it’s "the deal," not the amount that’s pertinent. "Whether it's getting a client the asking price for a house or negotiating the best possible deal for a buyer, my satisfaction in any price range comes from seeing the entire process through, from the first meeting to final negotiations and providing for a happy customer.”
Jim’s ‘edge’ comes from his ever vigilant knowledge to the latest market trends, fluctuations and conditions in order to ensure that his buyers and sellers have the most up-to-date information regarding their local marketplace.
Prior to entering the residential real estate industry, Jim established the grassroots/ lobbying program for Red Cross Blue Shield Association. He also represented some of the nation’s leading Fortune 500 companies in public affairs, lobbying, and grassroots campaigns as an independent consultant for many public relations / affairs companies.
In 1993, Jim moved from Boston, Massachusetts to Middleburg, Virginia with his son, Taylor. Jim is a graduate of Salisbury School and Northeastern University.
